Players get physical "off the pitch"
Following the players meeting on Saturday 2nd July 2005, a number of dedicated players took part in the start of a big clean up operation, to give Old Yardleians a starting hand in the build of the new extension.
The works will see an extension to the changing rooms, clubhouse and a main entrance porch being erected on the side of the clubhouse.
A big thank you goes to all those involved and a reminder to all club members to come up on Saturday afternoons to help out. The footings will be dug out and concreted on Saturday 16th July 2005.
Pig Roast a Success!
Old Yardleians RFC hosted a PIG ROAST evening on Saturday 2nd July 2005, thank you to those of you who attended; it was a great evening, which has now kicked off the start of many evenings to come. We hope to host at least one theme night a month, so keep an eye out for forthcoming events.

It is with sadness that Hayden Samual passed away this Month; Hayden had not been well for a time. We send our sincere love and sympathy to Hayden's Family.

We express our sincere condolences to the family of the late Phil Boyce who died suddenly and was buried Friday 1st October. A great 'wake' was held at the club with a wonderful buffet.
Carlsberg Tetley are in the middle of installing new cellar equipment for our beer. Look out for the promotion on Carlsberg Lager!!
The next committee meeting is on Wednesday 20th October at 20:00. New members are always welcome so please join us if you have any good ideas or a little time to spare. It is your club and your help is needed especially on Bar of a Saturday!!
Mark Baldwin is still collecting match Subs so look out for him. They have remained at £25 but will go up on 1st November for those who have not paid. Thanks to all those who have paid.

Congratulations to Debbie & Bobo on the arrival of "William". Although baby Robinson was early, he is doing well and we wish them all the very best.
15-A-Side Tournament - Thanks to all those who came. It was a great day. Unfortunately, we were beaten in the semi-final by Aston Old Eds who then went on to lose in the final 14-5 to Cleckheaton. We had a great take on the bar and a big thanks goes to Pat Killarney for pulling many pints! Also a big thanks to Lin Raybone for the food. We also got presented with the "Greater Birmingham Team of the Year" trophy from Eddy Lahive which was great.
Refurbishment - you may have noticed things have started to happen. Mick Ison attacked with the paint brush! We have new carpet going down and the seats are being re-upholstered. Hopefully, the curtain poles will go up this month and new curtains so it will look fantastic.
